I've been there.
Investing in art is challenging and can be pricey.
I totally get it.
Part of my 2015 resolution for my artistic self was to invest more in other artists' beautiful original creations while also [alleviating some of the financial pressure by] investing in prints. I am a social worker by day - not quite the trade of billionaires.
I want to make sure the original art pieces that my clients purchase maintain their value as a beautiful, worthwhile artistic investment. When you buy original artwork you are investing in the arts that give society and the world its color and character. Art is an investment: an investment in an individual piece that can beautify your space; an investment into the arts community as a whole; and investment into the sculpture, creator, composer of the piece who poured hours and resources and a lifetime of skills into one piece.
But I get that sometimes people just are not in the place to spend the money for an original Arte By Charlotte piece all their own. I get it. I totally get it.
So I have been working really hard to think of a way to make my art easily accessible to larger masses (aka family and friends back home) without losing the value of original artwork itself.
And voila! After 2 months and over 100 hours of researching, shooting, and editing - I figured it out: PRINTS.
PRINTS are a fantastic way to capture the essence of an art piece, still beautifying a space and investing in an artist without necessarily straining the budget too much. Originals are indeed all the passion and imagination of the artist on canvas while the print captures that passion the way a photograph captures a moment. Not the same but different with different values.
I worked with the company RedBubble to develop an online print shop that anyone in the world can access and purchase prints of my artwork. I swear by this company. The images are GORGEOUS - high quality Giclee ink on beautiful fine art paper. And they do an amazing job packaging and shipping the pieces.
So if right now you can't swing the original or commission piece, please look at my print shop and consider investing in the essence of my art. And as always, THANK YOU SO MUCH for your love and support!
